  • Major Works – Update - SRV Minor Facilities Upgrade

The SRV upgrade is now well and truly underway.  New fencing and lighting has been erected and the asphalt base, net posts and nets are in place on courts 5 & 6.  Due to the Plexi-cushion contractor (W. M. Loud) being extremely busy preparing for the Australian Open, courts 5 & 6 will not be completed until approximately February 2010.  As an interim measure temporary line marking on these courts has been arranged.  Work has also begun on the baseline rebuilds on courts 3 & 4.  Once completed the courts will be left to settle before the baseline rebuild process is repeated on courts 1 & 2 at the end of the year.  We are hoping that the lighting will be connected shortly, so that all 8 courts can be lit, however, before this occurs we have been informed that the mains power to the reserve needs to be upgraded.  Council is already organising for this to happen.  We hope to have everything back to normal before too long!
